DOULA PHILOSOPHY: My philosophy is summed up by the words trust and nurture. I trust that clients are uniquely equipped by God to parent their children. Supporting them to trust their intuition and calmly and confidently face the decisions and daily rhythms of life with an infant is a particular delight! Nurture, to me, is about validating clients’ goals and values so they feel equipped to nurture and enjoy their baby.

Kristie Ellison

Birth Doula | Postpartum Doula | Childbirth Educator

Infant Sleep Educator | Lactation Counselor

Meet Kristie Ellison - Kristie’s passion for all things birth was sparked when she began studying midwifery in her late teens. Marriage and eight children later, she found that doula support and childbirth & lactation education were a good fit for a busy, home-school mom who was immensely fascinated with the delicate and defining seasons of birth and breastfeeding.

Kristie’s own births were supported through the care and wisdom of midwives in birthing centers, at home, and at the hospital. She has had the privilege of supporting birthing families in all of these settings over the last 15 years.

Her experience supporting at-risk teens and single mothers through breastfeeding and early parenting, helping women process birth trauma, mentoring doula and lactation professionals across the world, and serving in women’s ministry has deepened Kristie’s respect for all that women hold in common, but also what makes each of their needs and purposes individually unique.

She truly believes that birth, and all the joys and challenges this brings, is one of the most transformative experiences in a woman's life, and her goal is to provide support that helps clients feel nurtured, confident, and empowered to thrive! This extends to the postpartum season, which our culture views as an afterthought rather than a sacred transition. Kristie feels called to support mothers after birth by focusing on nutrition, lactation, and infant/family sleep solutions.

Beyond professional work, Kristie enjoys family life in rural Fort Worth. With children ages 5-25, weddings and grandbabies have added lots of fun and beauty!
